Rehab Nursing Education

We have been fortunate to be able to have Betty Clark teach our CRRN review course since 2010.  She is an excellent speaker who is wonderful to work with when designing the course.  Her presentations include evidence-based information, her varied experiences in different rehabilitation venues and expert teaching methods.  Her informal style creates an ideal learning environment for the nurses who have participated in the course over the years.  Some of the comments that we have received from the learners over the years have included:

  • Betty is a wonderful speaker who excites me to be a better rehab nurse!
  • This course taught me a lot of new information (I have been in rehab over 4 years) & I will recommend it to my co-workers.
  • Betty is amazing- she is the perfect person  to present this stuff!!!"

We highly recommend Betty as a speaker for rehabilitation content!

About betty

Betty brings over 40 years of neurological and rehabilitation nursing expertise to her courses and seminars.  She started as a bedside neuro nurse after graduating with her BSN at the University of Virginia.

She developed a passion to teach patients and their families how to live with a disability.  She expanded her teaching to nurses after completing her M. Ed. at the University of Virginia.  Her career path includes academia, home health administration, staff development, consulting and research.  She became a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN®) in 1989.  In the past 26 years, she has taught many CRRN review courses nationally and internationally.

Betty has presented at national Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) conferences on sexuality issues for persons with a disability, CRRN review and numerous other rehabilitation topics.  She has received recognition as both Rehabilitation Educator and Administrator of the Year.  She was chosen as one of the top 10 nurses in the Houston area in June 2016.

Betty's presentation style encourages audience participation and incorporates many techniques to enhance adult learning.  Her success as a CRRN review educator is evident with the attendees achieving a high pass rate on the CRRN Exam.
